Young Engineers
At STEAM this week, the Second Graders were given an opportunity to be engineers. Each group of two students was given a paper bag with several objects in it. A challenge was written on the bag and the partners had to use the object in the bag to create an object that met the challenge. Some challenges were: make something that helps you wake up, make a game, make something that helps you remember, make something you can use to celebrate, etc. They followed the engineering steps of Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, and Improve.
