Adventure Aquarium The Lower School traveled to Camden, New Jersey to visit Adventure Aquarium. The students loved  seeing many of the sea creatures they had studied during their ocean unit. And they were introduced to many more amazing creatures.                                         Here the students are using two fingers to pet the sea creatures.  In the STEM Learning Lab, the students learned about the different layers of the ocean and the creatures that live in each layer.                                       Thank You! Special thanks go to Mrs. Lanni and Mrs. Danifo who accompanied us on our trip and provided many of the great photos for the blog. We appreciate you! Whale Video Presentations                                     During our ocean unit, the Second Graders worked with a partner to create a whale video presentation. It's National Reading Month! The students are participating in a Reading BINGO Challenge at home and will return their BINGO cards on April 5th to receive small prizes for each row completed. We are also taking the opportunity to read at school whenever we have a few extra minutes. Each week we visit the library to choose new books to read. Array City How do you like our Array City? Each building has an array of windows which represent a multiplication problem. Each student made his/her own Array City and wrote multiplication facts for each array.                                                                 Shrek, Jr. Don't miss our school show, Shrek, Jr.! Our study of multiplication has begun! This week the students learned that multiplication is really just repeated addition and it can be shown in a variety of ways. Here the students are lined up in an array to show equal groups. Students then made arrays to show a multiplication fact and their classmates named the fact for each array. Below: Students are adding windows to a city skyscraper as part of our Array City. Keep posted for a photo of our final product. Culture Boxes : The Third Graders presented their Culture Boxes to all of the Lower School students. Each small group of students rotated to different stations where a Third Grader shared information about his/her box. Thank you, Third Graders. We learned lots! Science with Mr. Zwilling The students were very attentive as Mr. Zwilling did a variety of experiments to teach us the properties of liquid nitrogen.  Student of the Week Our Stude
