First Holy Communion Photos

Thank you, Father Jasper, for celebrating our First Holy Communion Mass. We loved your message that with Jesus, we can go, "To infinity and beyond" in loving others.


























Special thanks go to Miss Hoffman, Mrs. Srinivasan, Mrs. Oxenford, Mrs. Lanni, and Ms. Nnndi for providing a beautiful reception after the First Holy Communion Mass. We appreciate all of your work!




Thank You Cards
The Second Graders wrote thank you cards to many of the people who helped them with First Holy Communion Day. From Ms. Brown who taught them their songs to Mr.Capuano who set up the MPR, they appreciate all those who helped to make Friday a very special day for them.

Bug Houses
At Community Time this week, the Second Graders partnered with a First Grader to make bug house using a plastic bottle, sticks, and a pinecone.  The bug houses were then hung in trees around HCA.

Our Student of the Week, Bella, showed us crystals and discussed her visit to Crystal Cave.

Pen Pal Day The Second Graders were all very excited when they arrived at Holy Child School at Rosemont to spend the morning with their pen pals. Greeting pen pals with handshakes and hugs. Singing their Communion song for the sisters. Visiting with the sisters: Each student shared his/her written paragraph about First Holy Communion Day.  Chatting with pen pals Community Time During Community Time, the students gathered in their families, signed beach balls, and enjoyed a treat of water ice. Lego Club At Lego Club, Keith and Emmet collaborated in making Spacey Alligators. We all admired their creative work. Sharing Memories Students gathered with a partner or in a small group to look over the 2019 yearbook! It was a great year. It's National Reading Month! The students are participating in a Reading BINGO Challenge at home and will return their BINGO cards on April 5th to receive small prizes for each row completed. We are also taking the opportunity to read at school whenever we have a few extra minutes. Each week we visit the library to choose new books to read. Array City How do you like our Array City? Each building has an array of windows which represent a multiplication problem. Ocean Unit Activities Alliteration Students choose a sea creature and then wrote a sentence using alliteration. Afterward,  they created an ocean scene for their sea creature. Here are some of their creative sentences:                  1. The delightful dolphin dives to dig down on the ocean floor.                  2. Otto the octopus has eight arms and swims oddly.                  3. Seven seahorses swam to the coral reef on a sunny day.                  4.
